Not So Typical Wednesday

We left about 5:45pm yesterday. I was so proud of myself. I packed very lightly for the kids and me and had all my errands done, everything in the car including cooler and snacks by the time Ryan got home from work. I even had the car washed, some pants altered, walked and played outside with the kids, and had the dog boarded! And believe it or not, my house was clean too. Amazing.
So we are here in Ohio at Ryan's Aunt Joyce's home. It's great b/c they have 3 bedrooms and a bathroom on the 2nd floor for us. The drive was pretty rough. Myles does not sleep well in the car so I'm hoping that we will all get some good naps today. We didn't arrive until 2am. I held Myles for the last 30 minutes. He had a hard time. I had a hard time. Glad to be here now.
Why are we here?
Ryan's Uncle Harry passed away on Monday evening. He was such a great man. He left behind 2 sons and we are here for them. The viewing is tonight from 5-8pm and the funeral is tomorrow morning.
Good News...
We get to go to Columbus. I'm so excited. I really miss our friends there. I've been thinking so much of my friend, Chrissie. She is pregnant with her first child and I can't wait to see her. She was around for me when I was pregnant with Molly and now I get to see her. I heard she's having a girl too! She has to be the most authentic and sweet person I know. Really do miss her.

So, I'm giving in...

So I redid the skirt on the dress this past weekend. Much better, but next time I'm going to need a whole lot to make it twirlreally big! Didn't you all have "turn-around dresses" as little girls. My little flower girl is so girly. She would wear a dress every day if I let her. I'm excited b/c the dress is pretty cute, but now my sewing machine won't do the button holes. I guess there's always something! When I get home from Ohio, I'll have to take a picture and post the dress. Now, I need to make the matching outfit for Captain Adorable. You know, I can't last with these fake names for too much longer. It seems too cheesy for me. Plus, if I try not to post pictures of my family, what's the point?
So, I'm giving in...
My name is Elisabeth, I'm married to Ryan, my beautiful children are Molly and Myles. We have a sweet beagle named Biscuit and now you know! (Didn't last very long with those secret identities, did I?) Wouldn't be a very good secret agent!

I Want it to Twirl...

So, I'm trying to make a dress for my little flower girl. No idea what I'm doing. The pattern is very confusing, so I'm just making it up as I'm going. I'm almost finished, but the bottom part doesn't twirl. It's too straight. I can't stand it that way. Fortunately I bought enough fabric to try again with that part. Any tips out there?

Jon & Kate Plus 8

I've been watching Jon & Kate Plus 8. I don't know if I watch it to stall from everything else I should be doing, to make myself feel better about how hectic my life seems sometimes, or just because I love all of the personalities on that show. I can't even imagine how crazy it would be to have twins, much less twins plus sextuplets. I gotta give it to Jon and Kate. They really to have incredible attitudes about everything. I do know God said that He would never give us anything we couldn't handle. I'm sure that is why He did not pick my love and me to have that many children. I'm so impressed!
Now, I better go get something productive done...

That's Me...

Okay. Here I am. My friend from college randomly wrote on my facebook wall that I need to do a blog. She doesn't have one b/c her life is apparently too boring, but since mine is filled with all the crazy and exciting days of motherhood and chores, I needed to start a blog. So, this is dedicated to my friend, JT!
And b/c of her I also have my great title... meet molly. When JT found out that I had modeled for the American Girl Doll (molly) as a little girl, she insisted on calling me Molly! Therefore, to the blog world, that is my name.
As for my children, we have my little "flower girl". She's 3 and just the sweetest little girl in the whole world. At least in my world! She's a huge help when it comes to "captain adorable." My son is 17 months and brings more joy than I ever knew possible. I'll call my husband my "love". There's is just no more appropriate nickname for him!
Oh, and my address... psalmthirtysevenfour - That is my theme scripture "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart". I believe that with every ounce of my soul. So try it- Delight in HIM, and just see what happens!
I know you didn't need all of that info to figure these things out. But that's me, laying it all out.
